Real Estate Friends,
I hope this message finds you healthy and safe during this period of continued COVID-19 related uncertainty. As some of you know, I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively over the course of my life, which has afforded me the chance to build many relationships across the world. As my real estate career has unfolded, I have started to observe foreign destinations through more of a property-focused lens and connect with the professionals who are shaping their local markets across product types and risk strategies. Aside from an expanded network, the joy for me in this process has been a more acute understanding of international real estate trends that, in many instances, have applicability or relevance in other parts of the world.
Accordingly, I recently started podcast called GLOBAL REAL ESTATE DEALMAKERS that profiles investors and/or entrepreneurs across the globe who are having a major impact on their cities, towns, or regions. On a biweekly basis, these guests will speak about their career paths, local market fundamentals, available financing options, governmental and/or political challenges, recent deal economics, and a few other country-specific topics. For example, I already recorded episodes with real estate leaders in Israel, Ukraine, Mexico, Australia, Kenya, Colombia, Russia, and the US.
Over time I plan to grow the platform to include blogposts about my takeaways from certain markets and/or articles related to themes discussed in the episodes. Should international travel restrictions relax in the coming 6-9 months, I will continue to update a portion of the website that chronicles my experiences in various parts of the globe as I travel to meet with certain guests.
